Caius

He's a young Boar with a long-limbed and chiseled body, endowed with an average shrewdness and a vast culture, of a complacent and always available nature, but never submissive, he’s empathetic, nice and of great company.

He's an Armiger, a legionary attendant. Enlisted in the army as a conscript, and promoted for honor and family merits, he barely hides his deep disillusionment and bitterness towards the rampant corruption within the Republic.
His father is a Linìan Senator, heir of the wealthy Gens Cornea, which has always allowed him many benefits. Unfortunately, his father was given the task of administering the Molossians' northeastern province, a task that Caius knows well it's just the result of a political manipulation to remove a Senator who is still too honest and morally committed to Republic’s old precepts.
Right at the beginning of the Tale, Caius will mistake a purely coincidental fact for a divine message from Rowana, deity of which he's a fervent worshiper, to go follow and protect Thela. This divine message will lead him to desert his superiors' orders, secretly leaving his legion to join Thela and Savron, swearing loyalty to her.

During the first two seasons, Caius' loyalty to Thela will turn into a true romantic love leading him to falling in love with his friend, but also to a cruel death. He will in fact throw himself to shield Thela, towards the end of second season, and will be pierced by many swords. Thela’s spells will unfortunately not be able to save his life, and he will die in her arms declaring his deep love for her with his last breath.
During his period with the group, as soon as he learns about Calès' story, he'll show great understanding for his state of mind: although they come from enemy kingdoms, they both have a very similar concept of family honor. Caius will offer to help Calès at the end of their mission, despite he cannot promise him anything since he has deserted and therefore will probably be severely punished, if not even exiled from the Republic (another legionary, from a Gens not wealthy as his, would probably be sentenced to death).

He's a formidable cunning fighter, a true devoted legionary who constantly and proudly wears his legion’s insignia, always armed with spear, shield and gladius, and wears galea helm and steel loric armor.
