Wrik
He's a late middle-aged Rat, cynical, narrow-minded, ambitious, gifted with incredible wit but totally unscrupulous. He's very tall, thin and emaciated, with elongated and angular features, white coat, red eyes, various scars and heavy dark circles. Despite being considered among the most recognized Occultists in the world, he's what might be called a mad scientist, even more so given his habit of adding psychotropic powders to pipe tobacco.

His intent to help Ymas is subordinated to his own purpose: to expand Rat people’s dominion to the whole planet. He's persuaded that his race is the only one that can survive and thrive in the most extreme conditions. With this idea in his mind, and aware of Rats bad reputation among other races, he has set himself the goal of withering and drying out as many lands as possible, making them similar to the desert they have lived in for centuries: where other races cannot survive, Rats will thrive.

If Wrik's goal was as tempting as not credible in the eyes of the obese Rat King, which has denigrated and underestimated him for many years, everything changes with Ymas arrival. The Shard’s power is able to make the might of Wrik's creations a hundredfold, and this turn of events gives the mad Occultist the opportunity he was waiting for, being then entrusted even with leading many platoons.
After the end of the third season, Wrik will completely change his objectives, bringing vengeance at first place. Relied on the fact that some army platoons will keep following him even after the surrender, he will target Squirrel people in an attempt to inflict as much pain as possible to their stalwart prince Ardeel, and his adventurers’ group. Indeed, right after he freed himself from his commitments with Ymas at the Eternals' Forge, Wrik will become increasingly unscrupulous and will attack the capital Lonnut directly, killing so many Squirrels and imprisoning, publicly exposed, the royal family. His thirst for revenge and his psychotropic madness will never end, until his death.
While he's perfectly able of killing, armed with an enchanted cleaver, and always equipped with many murderly-potential artifacts, he prefers to have others do it for him. When he can't help but fight, he does it with violence and anger, a cynical mind and using every object, magical or otherwise, at his disposal.
