Gorillas

The Gorilla people can be generally compared to a blend of fictitious fantasy society and members of Gorilla biological genus.
Gorillas are one of the fifty-five races of anthropomorphic mammals that populate Yanìs, and are grouped in the subgenus of Primates together with Lemurs, Macaques and Orangutans.

Physically, they are of medium build, with an average height of about 5.5 feet and an average weight of about 100-150 kg. Their fur is dark or black in color, but their face, ears, palms, and paw soles, and in older males also the chest, are hairless. Additionally, older males develop silvery-gray fur on their backs. Like other Anthro Primates, their arms are much longer than their legs, and the opening of their outstretched arms is often more than 6.5 feet. Gorillas have very broad hands with large thumbs, as well as feet that are wide and have opposable big toes.

The Gorilla people are a proud and ancient kingdom with fluid borders. It's not surprising that their society, highly hierarchical and extremely bureaucratic since its origins, is among the oldest and most fervent cultures devoted to the deity Caamiran. Although the social, political, and legal systems of the Gorilla people have defects and shadows, they are certainly the most admired on the planet. Neither the king nor any rulers have unquestionable decision-making powers, and everyone must submit to a bureaucratic system of requests and approvals. However, the greatest shadow that falls on their society is the blatant sexual inequality: in Gorillas' society, females have almost no rights. They are a polygamous society in which any male can marry as many females as he wishes, despite having a moral and legal obligation to offer them a dignified life. However, females are generally constrained to housework, minor jobs, and no public office, despite being officially entitled to them.

Most of their cities are made up of large stone buildings and wide clay brick houses, and all of them, even the smallest settlements, are always surrounded by huge city walls. Moreover, on the sides of the wide, smooth stone streets that divide cities into perfectly symmetrical neighborhoods, the complexes of housing, shops, and public facilities extend in a verdant setting where rainforest is allowed to grow freely between dwellings' walls. Gorillas are a people on an exclusively vegetarian diet, although they don't disdain breeding various types of insects with which to supplement their diet. At the same time, however, they are also a society with highly developed technical and artisan skills, particularly in metallurgy, carpentry, goldsmithing, and mining.

They speak the Commal language, common to all Anthro mammal races, and the most commonly spoken language on the planet.

Religiously they are almost exclusively devoted to Caamiran (deity of law, justice and cities), but other cults are also present, such as Azlean (deity of medicine and gardens), Ekoari (deity of commerce and crafting), Kalaukeke (deity of battles and competition), and Mizame (deity of lust and drunkenness), and also some Druidic cults that keep tarrying.

Their Ancestral Princes were Mbéti and Nzabi, who taught their race the fundamental and indispensable primary importance of the leader of each group. There cannot exist, and must not exist, a society that is not led by a strong and charismatic leader, nor can there be a society that doesn't follow the leader's directives. Everything in Gorillas' society must be regulated, starting from the leader, in a unitary, cohesive, and democratic way. Only in this way can their society thrive in the peace and quiet serenity that every Gorilla seeks in life.
