Lotru Kori

Lotru-Kori is one of the six first-born deities created by Yanìs, and is sibling to Ayrus, Zundoey, and others.

Lotru-Kori is the divine image of aberration and the one and only Lord of the Ethereal Plane. It is known as the Bewildering Nightmares-King, the Shadow of Madness, and the Grim Binder. Lotru-Kori is said to be the spiritual guide of those who give in to madness, of the fools who see the truth beyond the veil of material reality, and of those who indulge in suicidal thoughts. It is also considered the patron of all Shamans, to whom it grants ethereal creatures as gifts to act as a guiding spirit, although most Shamans have no faith in it.
Opium, earthworms, and pitch are sacred to Lotru-Kori and are required in sacrifices and ceremonies. Its priests are required to wear black robes with primarily dark blue and white decorations and are well-trained in combat with chains, weapons used to remind mortals what the nature of reality is, a captivity in which they live chained to a veil of lies.

Contrary to what many claim, Lotru-Kori is not an evil deity nor a bringer of chaos and despair. On the contrary, it carries with it the seed of madness that comes from revelation, from the understanding of what is outside the earthly and mortal world. It is called the Bewildering because its revelation causes confusion and disorientation due to its singularity and strangeness. It is disturbing, upsetting, and amazing at the same time, an amazement that causes madness: the slow and inexorable descent towards the total loss of connection with reality.
In relations with other deities, Lotru-Kori remains distant and neutral. It does not appreciate wars, quarrels, or rivalries because it knows very well that these are all futile issues concerning things that have no matter. Generally, it prefers to stay alone in the Ethereal Plane because it is very rare for other deities to visit it, except for its benevolent sibling, Vael Nhor, with whom it shares a curiosity for "forbidden knowledge."

The obscuring and bewildering lord of all nightmares shows itself as a humanoid creature without a delineated and precise shape, often with the appearance of a shadow with a gelatinous consistency from which tentacles, eyes, mouths, arms, etc. come out in variable numbers, useful only for the momentary purpose, as if it were a living nightmare.
