THE GODS OF THE RING

From the wise and inscrutable King of the Gods to malevolent deities of corruption and lust, as well as the divine triplets who act as guardians of mortals and their souls, the deities who shape the lives of Anthros and their societies are complex and each one possesses a unique behavior and nature.

The Gods of the Ring frequently reveal themselves to mortals, each with their own reasons and purposes. Sometimes they do so to punish mortals, while other times it is to reward them. Occasionally, they appear for the mere vanity of displaying themselves, and on rare occasions they even descend to the planet to engage in combat with one another.

When presented to Anthros, the deities often take on a fearful appearance, assuming a physical form that can reach heights of 35-40 feet with a monstrous and mythological body.

Before succumbing to Eternal Numbness, Mother Yanìs gave birth to deities, entities born from the pure eternal spark. The first six deities created were Ayrus, the watcher of time, who was recognized as the King of the Gods; Azlean and Zundoey, respectively representing life and death; Vael Nhor and Najan, representing abstract magic and tangible nature; and Lotru Kori, representing senseless madness.
Even among the deities, a King is not such without a Queen by its side. So, Ayrus married the wise Vael Nhor, and they had three twin children: Caamiran, fair and respectful; Jimbasi, noble and valiant; and Thialon, strong and imperious. Similarly, Azlean, who was always attracted to the gloomy side of its sibling, began to court Zundoey. However, since everything around Zundoey dies and degenerates, it gave up and engaged with Najan. From their union, four children were born: first Rowana, the loving one; then Kudan, the toxic; then Cilldyn, the explorer; and finally, Mizame, the young pleasure-loving.
While Lotru Kori immediately sank into gloominess and madness, isolating itself and hiding from others, Zundoey was left alone, distrusted by its siblings. Thus, unable to accept the joy and sentimental unions of its siblings, Zundoey began to plot its rebellion against the self-proclaimed King of the Gods.

Since Zundoey was alone in its quest for power, it decided to challenge only Ayrus in a duel. With a cry of such force and vehemence that, that power, gave birth to two new deities. When the cry broke against the infinite skies, Kalaukeke was born, the puissant, and when it broke against the waters of the planet, Teeje was born, the lout. Zundoey immediately looked to those children as allies in its rebellion, but both refused to fight: Kalaukeke preferred to abstain and respect the challenge of singular fight that Zundoey had already formulated, while Teeje declared itself at Zundoey's side but did nothing to help, more interested in raiding than fighting.
Ayrus easily won the duel, but in its infinite wisdom, it knew it could not kill its sibling, as it would lose credibility as the King of the Gods. So, it decided to bind Zundoey in a new Plane of Existence, made of torment and regret: the Darkness Plane, which only tormented and cursed souls have access to.

Once the hush returned among the Gods of the Ring, Ayrus entrusted its three children the task of judging mortals and administering their prayers. Each of the three created their own Plane of Existence, married one of their cousins, and crowned themselves as Lord of their Plane. Jimbasi married Rowana and had two children: Sia Mori, the dreamer artist, and Ekoari, the brainiac developer, thus becoming the Lord of Elysium, a benevolent Plane for good souls. Caamiran married Cilldyn and had Dykren, the reckless, as offspring, thus becoming the Lord of Limbo, an immutable Plane for fair souls. Lastly, Thialon married Kudan and had two children: Madra the deceiver and Dekar the proud, becoming the Lord of Abyss, an evil Plane for corrupt souls.

This origination of new Planes of Existence, connected and distant at the same time from the First Plane, the plane of matter from which everything started, created instabilities in the universal continuum. These instabilities risked to fragment and twist, with the consequence of awakening the Ancients Fallen. The wise Vael Nhor thus decided to create four other intermediate Planes of Existence, placing them between the First Plane and the Divine Planes, so that they could support the universal continuum as columns. She used the four natural elements to create these Intermediate Planes: air, fire, earth, and water, linking them together with chains of light and shadow.

At that same time, Lotru Kori introduced itself to Vael Nhor and, enchanting it with brotherly tenderness, asked if it could add a new Plane of Existence, tailored for it, where it could feel at ease. The wise Queen of the Gods was unable to deny that favor to its sibling, and thus, full of pain and pity, gave birth to the Ethereal Plane, a plane of mind that crosses each plane without touching any of them.
Thus, from then on, the Gods sat in council on the ring of stardust that encircles the planet and began to conduct and referee the lives of Anthro and all mortals.
