DU DWA TU
Ironically named Faerie Worms due to their large and ornate collar, resembling butterfly wings, Du Dwa Tu are massive and vicious creatures that some believe to be the result of incestuous breeding between Worak and Arisha. Often exceeding 70 feet in length and weighing over 30 tons, Faerie Worms are perhaps one of the most terrifying scourges one can encounter, not only due to their size and insatiable appetite, but also because of their ability to excrete caustic spit and toxic spores during an attack.
Faerie Worms reside in extensive warrens carved into the heart of jungles, where they consume any organic material they come across. They are giant scavengers that inhabit the deepest regions of the world, particularly the subsoil of the Great Jungle of Turao. They are known for consuming their prey whole, and although they seek living creatures to consume, they also ingest vast amounts of dirt and minerals as they burrow underground.
A Faerie Worm typically claims a large underground cavern as its den, and although it returns there to rest and digest its food, it spends most of its time on the prowl, burrowing through the endless darkness or slithering along established tunnels in its constant drive to feed its immense hunger. Faerie Worms can also burrow through the muck and sand found on the seafloor and tidal shelves.
Varieties of Faerie Worms also exist that lurk in shallow waters, preying on aquatic species, birds, and land animals. Such deep-sea specimens are highly resistant to extremes in both temperature and pressure and, as a result, are often found near volcanic vents.
