Faeries
Fairies are strange and unique creatures, born from the playful nature of the Great Mother Yanìs. They have a vaguely anthropomorphic appearance, unlike any other creature except for the hundred Anthro races. Despite this anthropomorphic form, Fairies do not possess an evolved intelligence. In fact, Fairies share the animal brain of most creatures that inhabit the planet. With enough effort and never-ending patience, some Fairies could learn the basics of a simple sign language at most, but no more. Fairies have the appearance of anthropomorphic insects, standing no more than 6 inches tall, and coming in different shapes. They can be found on every continent and in every natural ecosystem where there are insects.
Fairies can take the shape of moths, scorpions, dragonflies, wasps, spiders, beetles, butterflies, bees, cockroaches, ants, mosquitoes, and much more.
Their behavior and attitudes don't differ much from their feral counterparts, with the exception of a sense of belonging and a sense of group. It's not unusual, to come across a mixed swarm of Fairies with different appearances. Despite their animal intelligence, Fairies are highly territorial creatures, and will easily attack anyone who enters their territory, even if they are not particularly dangerous. Their microscopic stature, lack of ingenuity, and sense of territoriality make them more annoying than dangerous. However, even the smallest of insects, if left undisturbed with the help of an enormously numerous swarm, can prove to be fatal.
