Gorgon

Malevolent and repulsive, Gorgons are shunned by most creatures due to their unquenchable hunger. Also known as fake bouquets, creeper worms, or verdant frights, Gorgons are malevolent plant-creatures created by Worak's jealousy towards Arysha's Basilisks. Gorgons are, essentially, carnivorous plants; however, they have two unique features that make them particularly dangerous. Firstly, they possess an acute and predatory animal intelligence. Secondly, they are able to move with great ease, generally by creeping tendrils and roots on the ground, resembling snakes.
Their reproduction is achieved through spores laid on rotting corpses. This is in contrast to the normal varieties of carnivorous plants found in nature. When hunting, Gorgons typically attack creatures smaller than themselves, luring them with the colors and scents of their numerous flowers. Once within range, the Gorgon strikes with lightning-fast attacks, enveloping the victim in its coils/tendrils and trapping them with a viscous substance that has hallucinogenic effects. Finally, with the prey helpless and catatonic, the Gorgon can feed on it with its countless teeth, similar to thorns on a rose.
A Gorgon's unquenchable hunger can lead it to feed on meat weighing more than three times its own weight in a day. For this reason, when a rotting corpse covered with colorful flowers is found, it is customary to sound the alarm, especially if the discovery takes place within a city. The only time a Gorgon leaves a meal halfway through is when it feels the need to get rid of too many reproductive spores. Gorgons reproduce through spores that grow by feeding on the corpse left by the parent, and several offspring can feed and mature within a single corpse.
It goes without saying that many parts of a Gorgon are highly sought after by alchemists and occultists.
