KIROPTYLON
This small yet deadly creature was created during the time of myth by Arisha's twisted love for bloodlust. Kiroptylon bears a striking resemblance to a common baboon or mandrill, but its body is covered in thick yellowish-greenish fur. Two powerful bat-like wings extend from the tips of its forepaws to its mid-torso, and it also has a long and prehensile fur tail.
Kiroptylons are excellent hunters, skilled in ambushing and stalking prey within short distances. While their ability to fly is limited, they can glide from one tree to another or throw themselves onto their prey from above. Despite their average animal intelligence, their prehensile four paws make them adept at using tools such as branches or stones, which makes them more dangerous than they appear to be.
Most Kiroptylons live in humid tropical areas, dense jungles or swamps in the southern hemisphere of Yanis. They have complex social structures and spend most of their day alone, hunting and traveling over a vast territory. However, at night, if they have already hunted and fed, they gather in large flocks that can accommodate several dozen specimens to sleep together.
The most unsettling habit of these creatures is their ability to blend into shadows, making them almost completely invisible during new moon nights. For this reason, experts in darkness magic consider Kiroptylon components of great value.
