Sea Monster Moth
The extraordinary beauty and flamboyance of this creature are only comparable to its dreadfulness. Created in mythical times by Worak's terrifying passion for devastation, the Sea Monster Moth is arguably one of the most aggressive creatures on the planet, and it is both weird and colorful.
It is a fish with an elongated and narrow body, similar to a snake or an eel, with four short legs that suggest terrestrial movement, if only it didn't have broad fins instead of paws. Large, wing-like ventral fins open on its back, and its entire body is studded with lionfish-like protuberances. Its skin is covered with small, brightly colored scales, ranging from red and orange to blue and shiny green. Fangs and teeth up to 30cm long protrude from its mouth, and its body can reach a length of up to 20 feet.
Stories about huge sea creatures have always enriched the tales of sea peoples. Yet, evidence of the existence of these enormous and elusive creatures is hard to find. This is not only due to the vastness of the oceans and the actual rarity of Sea Monster Moths, but also because these creatures are adept at both evading capture and destroying ships that have this arduous intent. Due to their solitary nature, the sighting of a Sea Monster Moth is seen as an omen by sailors, whether favorable or not based on the ship's morale. The Sea Monster Moth cares nothing about prophecies and superstitions, and it is only hunger that determines its danger. These patient predators are known to follow ships as they set sail from harbors, swimming silently just below the water surface, with their "wings" closed, while they wait for a chance to strike.
