THE PLANET YANìS
The planet Yanìs should be astronomically classified as a medium to large-sized terrestrial planet, similar to Venus. It has two moons, known as Arysha and Worak, and is surrounded by a ring of stardust, like Saturn, where the Deities are believed to reside. Yanìs orbits a yellow-white dwarf star of the FV-class, named Ethaam, and is the fourth planet from the star in its solar system.
The planet is composed of more than 60% water and has eight continents.
The largest two, both in size and location, are the Varooy, which extends from the Arctic Ocean to the north and beyond the Tropic of the Bloom to the south, and the Sarema, which extends from the Equator and reaches beyond the Tropic of the Bloom to the north and the Tropic of the Huntress to the south.
The third and fourth largest continents, in order of size, are Sungam, located to the east, and Cawat, located to the north below the Arctic circle. The Mogress continent is located near the Equator and almost reaches the Antarctic Ocean. It consists of two main islands, Mogress to the north and Sephyr to the south, separated by the Strait of Kemar, a strip of sea that is never more than a couple of kilometers wide.
The three southernmost continents are unique. The Göenar continent is made up of a large number of archipelagos, islands, and atolls that extend across much of the Yalathon Ocean. The Kammon continent is a large island that barely meets the minimum size requirements to be considered a continent. Finally, there is the Mirook continent, which covers the Antarctic polar circle and is an icy land with a thin layer of land covered in perennial ice, surrounded by a belt of rocky islands.
